The second Crit race of the night, and I wasn’t sure I even had it in me to for this one, as the end of the other crit almost had me spewing.

I rode the pack and kept the watts down, and there were a couple of races I had noticed from the previous race that simple out sprinted me at the end. So this this time, with 1km to go, I thought I will make an early break away and give it a crack.

Keeping my eye on the leaderboard, I held on for dear life and managed top spot with a couple seconds difference.

Double Crit nights are really taxing.

The first of the 2 crit races where the game plan is to hang on to the last 400m and hit the sprint, but I need to read the race more when it comes to that point as there was a slight break which I missed.

Also sprint against a racer hitting 22.2w/kg again is never going to get me any podium results.

I ended up coming 5th, but a 3rd ZwiftPower result.

I always like these 9km Zwift races. But weird thing is I am the only B grade rider in tonight’s ride. So I hang on the the A grade rider until the last 1km where I just don’t have anything left in the legs to have a strong finish.

But a win is a win isn’t it? I’ll that that participation award, thank you!

It’s a TT, and this time I am prepared. I plan to just slog it out and ride it 100% off the saddle (which I don’t think you are meant to do in a TT, please educate me???) So for this slog I am setting the trainer to 0% and just go flat out for the duration of this race.

With plenty of drops, I end up getting a new bike and wheels, most likely never to be used again. But what else are you meant to do with them, exchange for Bitcoin?

Well this ended up being my hardest watts race to date at 358w, and end up with a ZwiftPower result of 2nd

This was one of those races that is a bit later in the week, and a bit longer than I usually ride. So I thought I would give it a crack to see how I go. About half way my legs are toast and its just a matter of hanging in there.

I was yo-yo’ing around with cadence in consistent, and dropping watts left right and center. Good thing is there is much room for improvement.

Left it to the last minute to decide to race tonight, and it saw me riding 4 Laps of Laguardia Loop. Tried to make a small break away, but it didn’t last long, so it all came down to the finial sprint. Some heavy hitters there, and again the Race 2 saw me come in 3rd again.

I really should read the ride descriptions, as a passing comment before the ride started I realised that I needed to be on a TT bike. This was going to be a hard 8.8km ride as no draft, and its all you.

Still learning, and not sure if on a TT bike you are meant to be riding off the seat, which you can see me do multiple times during the ride.

Riding 100% trainer on slight hills has be changing gears all the time and I get into a bad High Red riding experience. Continue reading “Zwift Event : Aero Army Wyn TT Series on the 02-03-2021”

What is the first thing you do when you get to level 43? You go to the drop shop and purchase the Zwift Safety Bike and take it for a Zwift 13km Race on the 4 laps of the Laguardia Loop.

Todays stupid idea was to compete in the “EVO CC Sprint Race Series” Group B ride on the 01-03-2021

This was a dumb idea, I was having to put extra effort to stay in the group, and a loss of concentration sees you at the end of the pack fighting to stay in it. Watch to see how far I can hold on for… Continue reading “Zwift Racing on the Safety Bike?? – EVO CC Sprint Race Series (B) 01-03-2021”

ZWIFT Morning HIT race (B Grade)

In this Zwift Race, I am riding the ‘Gotham Grind Reverse Pens to Banner’ which is a 9km race. These things are usually a High Heartrate race, where you hang on for as long as you can, and then try to sprint to the finish at the end. Being smarter on my gears, I am able to comeback on the sprint to finish 1st.
