In this ride, I take part in the Rugby Ride Challenge Day One 1/6 on the 06-03-2021 and finish up riding to 100kms to collect internet points on strava.

I did get dropped by one of the first groups around 40mins as I couldn’t keep up, and held on to the end with the race organiser.

This is the warm up event for the Rugby Ride Challenge, two days of 12 hours of riding, with 6 hours of country v country competition per day.
The Head for Change events programme kicks off with our first major fundraising activity to celebrate our launch.

Players who have been affected by neurodegenerative disease and their families have urgent needs which are not being met. With your support we will help them. The care, advice and support we will provide will cost money, so we have an ambitious fundraising programme which we want YOU to be part of.

Whilst events fundraising remains challenging and unpredictable due to the continuing Covid pandemic, you can take part in the Rugby Ride Challenge from the comfort of your own home.

March 6th and 7th 2021
24 hour cycle challenge on Zwift –over 2 days, with 6 x 2 hour stages each day.

Led by Alix Popham who plans to ride the full 24 hours, supported by Tour de France 2018 winner Geraint Thomas OBE, 100 ex-international rugby players, and other celebrity and sporting ambassadors.

Wales, England, Scotland, Ireland and the Rest of the World will all be competing for the most miles cycled over the weekend – join your country and ride with your rugby heroes to add to their team’s miles.
