ZWIFT Morning HIT race (B Grade)
In this Zwift Race, I am riding the ‘Gotham Grind Reverse Pens to Banner’ which is a 9km race. These things are usually a High Heartrate race, where you hang on for as long as you can, and then try to sprint to the finish at the end. Being smarter on my gears, I am able to comeback on the sprint to finish 1st.

Start your day with a short HIT race, great for a pre-work workout. It’s fun-competitive no prizes but as races are short expect the pace to be intense. Ride on!

Tuesday is Track day, but I try to squeeze in a good 9km Zwift race when I can.
There were a couple of early attempts of some breaks around the 4 min mark, and I stupidly tried to chase one down. Really paid for it, and wasn’t too sure how far I could hold one.
This race I did a mix of off saddle riding, and this time I wasn’t going to max gear the sprint at the end. Coming into the 400m sprint I change to some higher gears to get the RPM’s up, even getting over 120RPM at the end.
